Bush (regime) seeks secrecy for Supreme Court proceedings
Bush administration seeks secrecy for Supreme Court proceedings

January 6, 2004 - 11:41AM

The Bush administration (regime) asked the Supreme Court to let it keep its arguments secret in a case involving an immigrant's challenge of his treatment after the September 11 attacks.

Mohamed Kamel Bellahouel wants the high court to consider whether the government acted improperly by secretly jailing him after the attacks and keeping his court fight private. He is supported by more than 20 journalism organisations and media companies.

In a one-paragraph filing today, Solicitor General (and coupmeister) Theodore Olson told justices the matter "pertains to information that is required to be kept under seal".

3. More damn secrecy from this administration!
I was watching PBS a month or two back and they ran a story about a natural gas pipeline they wanted to run through Wyoming (?) and when the residents of the small town wanted to know whose back yards would be effected, it suddenly became a national security issue. By denying the adequate information they also took away means for the citizens of the community to organize and fight what they saw as a danger. What's the point? This administration will scream NATIONAL SECURITY every time they want keep the masses uninformed.

12. FESTERING DUNG HEAP
Some day soon the Truth about this pile of SHIT administration is going to come out. The backlash will be stunning.

Unfortunately it may come about because of a depression that will make the one of 1929 to whenever seem like child's play.

10. Okay, the verdict is out. I'm finally convinced that this administration
is beyond corrupt. When everything they do requires secrecy, it can only mean one thing: They're trying to cover up decisions that they know they could never make in the light of day.

It's disgraceful.
