CHARLES CITY, Iowa - Former Democratic presidential candidate Bill Bradley is expected to endorse Howard Dean, campaign officials said Monday, providing the front-runner yet another boost in the two-week countdown to primary voting.
Bradley, a former New Jersey senator who ran unsuccessfully for the party's nomination in 2000, planned to announce his endorsement Tuesday during a campaign swing through New Hampshire and Iowa, according to two campaign officials who spoke on a condition of anonymity.
Bradley's endorsement puts him in the same camp as his former rival, Al Gore, who announced he was supporting Dean last month.
Dean rescheduled a pancake breakfast in Muscatine, Iowa, Tuesday morning to appear with Bradley in Manchester, N.H., the officials said. The two will then fly to Des Moines, Iowa, for a rally.
