Republicans Speak Out on Bush's Political Standing
http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGACL7K3HID.html

Republican leaders across the country address President Bush's political standing prior to the Republican National Committee meeting in New York City, which begins Wednesday and ends Saturday.
---

"We've got nine Democrats out there beating up on him. That's the problem." - Joyce Terhes, RNC member from Maryland.

---

"His message is getting out, but I think we as members of the party have to take on more responsibility to make sure we're communicating with the grass roots in each of our states." - Terhes.

---

"The Iraq situation is not over. You're actually seeing soldiers killed every day or so. I still think they will find some (weapons of mass destruction) material and other things that will prove Bush was correct." - Sheffield Nelson, former RNC member in Arkansas.

---

"We'd be in trouble." - Dick Taylor, RNC member from Maryland, when asked what happens if the economy doesn't rebound.

1. "We've got nine Democrats out there beating up on him. That's the problem.
And that's exactly why I'm happy to see so many people in the race. The media pays attention to them, and not always to the people in Congress who speak out. Candidates are always given more time to be critical than just normal Senators/Reps.

3. Yeh. And it's difficult for them to trash all nine Dems at once.
They are having a hard time focusing.

2. What is Bush's message?
War without reason, deficits to eventually remove
government programs aside from defense, install rightwing ideologues to the courts, loosen environmental standards, launder taxpayer
money to corporations and donors to the Republican party,
act unilaterally, build up nuclear might in this country while
threatening other countries to disarm, and lie about the whole
damn thing.

Uh, and how many Republicans beat up on the last president about his sex life? sheesh.

I propose buying all the dems clubs to expedite the beatings.
