Terrorist blows himself up center, no victims (Morocco)

Meknès, Aug. 13 - A terrorist was seriously injured, on Monday in Meknès (140 km east of Rabat), when he blew himself up with a Butane gas cylinder some meters from a coach for tourists.

The young man, heading for the coach in a densely populated neighborhood, has not reached his target thanks to the vigilance of the coach driver.

The gas cylinder blast pulled out the arm of the terrorist, but left no victim or material losses.

I found that in Italian news and then linked to Maghreb Arabe Presse.

It's absolutely bad news. Morocco is making efforts to contrast extremism. According to authorities it was an isolated case of a desperate individual.

But it's really important that investigations go all the way. "Reliable intelligence" says Morocco may be the target of terrorism.
The Alert level is "maximum".
