Michael Jackson 'brainwashed by black separatists'
:wtf:

http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/story.jsp?story=477093

The saga surrounding Michael Jackson took a new twist yesterday amid reports that a black separatist group was taking over his affairs and keeping him "semi-captive".

The claims were made as it emerged that Jackson's official spokesman Stuart Backerman had parted company with the star's team, citing "strategic differences" over the handling of child abuse allegations against the pop star.

Sources told The New York Times and other American media that the Nation of Islam was handling Jackson's security arrangements. They also claimed that members of the religious group were organising elements of his media and legal strategy. A senior Jackson employee told The New York Times that the Nation of Islam had "taken over completely and are in full and total charge" of the pop star's affairs.

7. That's what makes him such a great "entertainer"
It's SO much more than the music!

Here's how he MIGHT have looked today sans all the cosmetic surgery:

15. I don't consider myself much of a judge of male attractiveness
But I would say the artificially aged version is a pretty good looking dude. Or virtual dude.

6. I heard a man on cable news say that one of his body guards
Edited on Wed Dec-31-03 09:57 AM by JudiLyn
is with the Nation of Islam, and that one of his brothers is a muslim, as well. This was Tuesday night.

He said that the news which has been leaked that the radical Islam group is actually sharing an office with Mark Gerigos is simply false at every level.

He stressed that ONE of a group of Michael Jackson's bodyguards is involved that religious group.

From the end of the article:

(snip) The Nation of Islam, which advocates a separate African-American state, said in a statement that it had not taken over Jackson's business affairs, nor taken a central role in his defence strategy. (snip)

On edit:

Here's a quote from his lawyer yesterday:

(snip) Jackson's lawyer, Mark Geragos, denied in an interview with the newspaper that the group was running Jackson's affairs.

"The idea that there is some takeover by the Nation of Islam -- someone is spinning you," he said. "Nobody has told me what to do and what not to do. Leonard, I believe, is someone Michael consults with, just like in excess of 25 people." (snip)

9. Unless the Nation of Islam is now controlled by the Scientologists
this is more BS. Scientology has been controlling Jackson and his family for decades - that's why the marriage to Lisa Marie (Scientologist, also). Scientologists now own all the Beatles music as well as Presley's.

There is a major cover-up going on here, but I can't figure out who's doing what to whom.

I'm no fan of Jackson, but IMO, the Scientologists are behind this somehow.

Here's one -

Michael Jackson Gives Single's Proceeds To Scientology

If Jackson claims he's Jehovah's Witness - it's just a cover. Scientologists have been running the Jackson family for a long time, as well as many other artists and actors, like Tom Cruise.

21. he shook his booty
on an early video (circa trillah) and the JWs gave him the boot. He and his siblings were raised JW.

Since then they've expanded their minds, since they've accepted Prince into the fold...

12. More like "American public brainwashed by tabloid mentality"
Geeze, if everything ever alledged about this guy were true, he'd be a freak. Well, he's a bit freaky, but he'd be even more of a freak.

He's a former great entertainer who has been rich and famous beyond reason his whole life, and is now accused of a crime that all the papers in America fervently hope he committed, since they have been creating suspicions and fears of this man for so long. Aside from that I don't understand the fascination with who he gives money to, who controls his family wealth, which religion is a cover for whichever other religion supposedly controls him. This is all more wacko than anything Jackson has ever done. He's lied about plastic surgery, like everyone else in Hollywood, and he's not aged well. Aside from that, the tabloids are taking the general public on a ride.

17. Why would a non-scientologist raise money for Scientology?
See Post 11.

IMHO, Jackson got tied up with Scientology, and now wants out. But, NO ONE ever leaves the Church of Scientology - unless it's in a casket.

This may be why he has the Nation of Islam around him now - as protection.

Cruise tried to offer the church a huge lump sum of money to release him, but they refused.

Although this stuff may seem very tabloid to talk about, it is important that people know about the power of the Church of Scientology.

18. Maybe CS were going to make a "martyr" of him?
He's too freaky for them to want to use him as a spokesperson, so perhaps they had thought of other uses for him, and his brother got NOI involved for protection? Seems plausible.

19. He owns 200 Beatles' songs as well as some Presley songs
Most of his assets are in musical holdings worth an estimated $450 million, including 200 Beatles titles and songs recorded by Elvis Presley, the publication reported. The Beatles hits alone earn him a steady $34 million a year, according to the Times.

http://money.cnn.com/2003/11/20/news/companies/michael_jackson/

The Presley estate was VERY stringent regarding anything Elvis did. How did Jackson get a hold of OWNING some of Presley's songs. I wonder if Lisa Marie's marriage to Jackson didn't stipulate some financial holdings on the Beatles songs as well?

14. news=tabloids
I used to think "tabloids" were just papers by the grocery store checkout stand, but what further proof do we need to know that mainstream news is basically tabloid television when at least four channels are broadcasting a press conference held by the police denying they abused Jackson in custody....I just don't get it.....who gives a flying f*ck.....

22. And the scary thing is...
This is a UK broadsheet, not a US tabloid. mind you, he is a loony, whatever else he may be.

And the even scarier thing is that after reading this thread it is even harder to work out whom he may have been "brainwashed" by! :eyes:

16. That's confusing. Black, white, black, make up your mind already, MJ!
All that cosmetic surgery to make him white, and now he wants to be black again? Two words: Vanilla Ice.

20. LOL!!
He wants to be Black again now because he thinks it will help him. Too bad all his surgery has rendered him a pasty white she/male.

And MJ, lose the racist/anti-Semitic NOI as your bodyguards. No matter how good their protection services are, they remain racist and anti-Semitic. Louis Farrakhan and his band of thugs should not be associated with under any circumstances.
