32. Or who would believe them. News Corps rep for truthful reporting
is in the WC. I can't think of any business that would show them rather than CNBC.

37. Have Neil Cavuto praise the economy while a Republican is in office.
Once a Dem takes over the presidency, the news won't be so rosy and there'll be Bewshconomy comparisons galore.

5. Fox Business Network opens for business
"The new Fox Business Network will go on the air Oct. 15 with 30 million subscribers -- nearly twice as many as Fox News had when it debuted 11 years ago. Fox News' business-news honcho Neil Cavuto will direct the channel's news coverage as well as apear on the air. More later, when the news is officially announced at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time."

9. Extension of Fox Street News
Fox just got an agreement to buy the WSJ from the Bancroft family. This is an extension of a couple of shows on FN and my guess is that they will transfer Cavuto, Gibson, and Gigot to the FBC in order to compete with CNBC.

Coincidence? I think not. The two will somehow be linked before you can say Fear and Bullshit, thus ensuring that the financial reports will be as twisted and partisan as all their other reporting....

Edited on Wed Jul-11-07 03:59 PM by eppur_se_muova
Certain programs of the Fox Business Network contain rightward-looking statements that are based on management’s expectations, estimates, projections, assumptions, prejudices, fantasies, and outright delusions. Words such as “expects,” “anticipates,” “plans,” “believes,” “scheduled,” “estimates”, "it's Clinton's fault", and variations of these words and similar expressions are intended to identify rightward-looking statements, which include but are not limited to projections of revenues, earnings, segment performance, cash flows, contract awards, production, and mental stability. Rightward-looking statements are made pursuant to the safe harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, as amended. These statements are not guarantees of future performance and involve certain risks and uncertainties, which are difficult to believe, much less predict. Therefore, actual future results and trends may differ materially from what is forecast in rightward-looking statements due to a variety of factors, including, without limitation:

*

General U.S. and international political and economic conditions;
*

Changing priorities in the U.S. government;
*

Unilateral government action;
*

Differences in anticipated and actual program performance;
*

The status or outcome of legal and/or regulatory proceedings;
*

Actual contact with The Real World.

All rightward-looking statements speak only as of the date of this report, if that, or, in the case of any document incorporated by reference, the date of that document. All subsequent written and oral rightward-looking statements attributable to the company or any person acting on the company’s behalf are qualified by the cautionary statements in this section, including statements by overzealous staffers, however anonymous they may be. The company does not undertake or recognize any obligation to update or publicly release any revisions to rightward-looking statements to reflect events, circumstances, changes in expectations, or cold, hard facts after the date of this report.

They consist of phychological cheerleading, not smart or even pragmatic information. I would think that investors would be more interested in an accurate, sober assessment of economic trends.

30. It's astounding to me
The claim is that they will have a "business friendly" business channel. I think to myself that they must be joking! Whenever numbers are bad and might play poorly into the markets, all I have to do is trun on CNBC to hear all about why the bad numbers are actually good.

It's the most Orwellian thing and to think that Faux News is going to outdo what's already out there....as I said, "astounding"!

Juile

36. Yup, after the WSJ takeover Murdoch can't wait to start fleecing the people
What with his misinformation, perpetual pump and dump schemes, and lack of reporting hard news investors had better damn well do their research beforehand, and sadly it won't include the WSJ or Baron's anymore.
