(Gov) Perry off to Secret Forum in Turkey (Bilderberg Conference)
Source: The Dallas Morning News

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry is flying to Istanbul, Turkey, today to speak at the super-secret Bilderberg Conference, a meeting of about 130 international leaders in business, media and politics.

The invitation-only conference was started in 1954 and named for the Dutch hotel where the conference was first held. Those who attend promise not to reveal what was discussed, security is tight, and the press and public are barred.

The conference has been the subject of conspiracy theorists and even Christian groups who wonder about its influence.

Robert Black, the governor's press secretary, said the governor was invited to attend and speak about state-federal relations. Mr. Black dismissed the conspiracy theories.

4. Gov Goodhair is govenor in a state....
where governor has very little power and requires very little skill to govern(as wittnessed by Dubya). The last governor we had with any clout in recent memory was Ann Richards. The legislature has more of the power.

Either these folks are fools or he is going over there to do a few deals and they are flattering them. I give them credit for more intelligence. His pet projects haven't been fairing well this session-folks are waking up.

5. At least he's not on the Trilateral Commission
I wonder if we can convince Turkey to hold on to Rick for some intensive interrogation techniques. I'm sure he wouldn't mind....

12. Maybe that's where Edwards got the recommendation for the hairdresser?
Sorry. It just struck me as funny, seeing how they are both known for their great hair, and Edwards had the haircut cost issue recently.

But they both really DO have great hair. Not knocking that. Great hair is good! Esp. on a middle aged man!:headbang:

16. Turkey on the verge of entering the EU and maybe an oil land grab
in the middle east.
Turkey is on a geographical fulcrum of shifting world power and wealth.

But actually, I'm sure that has no meaningful value as to a reason why the meeting is held there

23. In Turkey too there were rumours of a secret organization
that organized the bilderberg forum. They blamed everything including the USA, freemasons, the jews and others for the forum. The irony is that one of the men criticizing the forum for years is our prime minister Erdogan who will host this forum!!!!!
