Iran: 14,635 arrested in moralisation campaign
Source: Adkronos

Tehran, 29 May (AKI) - In the four weeks since a highly publicised government moralisation campaign kicked off, 14,635 people were temporarily detained under strict new Islamic dress code laws punishing offenders with arrest. Another 67,000 people were reprimanded by police, according to a tally kept by the local Rooz daily based on police statements. Only in airports and train stations some 1,115 people, mostly women, were arrested while 17,135 were not allowed to board planes or trains as they were not dressed properly.

If that doesn't distract from the BILLIONS that the war profiteers and representative investors are raking in we have the heart-jerks who talk about lost whales, a goose with an arrow in neck, a clueless widow working out her grief by sending herself to "hell on earth" (Iraq) OR yet another missing WHITE child. :eyes:

Oh, and add to that FEAR-MONGERING the resistant TB strain that will be on every airliner that you travel on this summer.

Hell, they may not be combing up people here in the good ole' US of A, but they SURE AS SHIT are distracting us and doing a five star job of dumbing down the populace.

WHERE IS INTERNATIONAL NEWS?!?

I despise our USA M$M. :grr:

It's beyond time to get our OWN house in order before we throw stones at another SOVEREIGN Country.

3. We can't possibly discuss both?
I don't need to believe that everything happening in America is peachy to understand "morality police" arresting women who have the temerity to expose their hair is absolutely wrong.

4. Here we go....
Since we have shortfalls, the shortfalls of others cannot be pointed out also.

In that case, NOONE could ever say anything negative about ANYONE ELSE, because we all have demons in the closet. We have our own issues to work out here in 2008, but it doesnt mean we cant be aware of other's.
