Former Vice President Al Gore was in San Diego Monday night, presenting his lecture on global warming: "An Inconvenient Truth." Four thousand people filled the Rimac Arena at UCSD to see the lecture.

While the media was not allowed inside, the audience emerged with favorable reviews.

"I thought he did a really good job emphasizing the scientific fact of what's causing global warming," said student Dunal Khandeker.

And while Al Gore made his presentation at UCSD, a related presentation was made Monday at San Ysidro High School.

News media seems to be watching for a campaign announcement. But if that's what it takes to get them to show up and cover global warming, that's OK.
