Border Agents Recruited for Iraq Duty (Dyncorp)

A military contractor is recruiting current and former agents with the U.S. Border Patrol to teach Iraqis how to secure their national borders.

The U.S. State Department has asked Virginia-based DynCorp International to find 120 people with Customs and Border Enforcement experience to go to Iraq for the training.

The company already has 700 police trainers in Iraq. The department made the request for border security trainers in late March.

Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano said she was worried that DynCorp's effort is distracting from security along the U.S.-Mexico border. She and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson wrote President Bush this week to say the deal "makes no sense."

Yet I saw CNN report late this week that U.S. Border Patrol is having problems recruiting agents. They sponsored a NASCAR car to help their efforts. Lou Dobbs posted link to their recruiting effort on his website.

Yet Bushies again selling out to their mercenary masters!

3. Success is not measured in successful training of Iraqis. Success is
measured by the profit margin.

10. First they took our National Guards - States and National Homefront defence
Now they want to take the US Border guards to defend foreign borders?????

Pressures are increasing along the US/Mexican border. The Commander Barbara Fast (reknown for AbuGarib), of The Intelligence Center, Fort Huachuca, has warned the military and their families not to enter Mexico, nor travel along the border, due to the danger from unknown terrorists which are doing mass killing and kidnapping of locals.

If this "War on Terrorism," is so bad that they are recruiting our own homeland defences, then it is high time for a draft. All Americans, including the Bush and Cheney family members should be made to serve. While the BFEE, Cheney's, Romneys, etc., have profited on the blood and sweat of others, it is high time they all give back.

11. You forgot the Coast Guard
Which is not a branch of the military, and whose mission is supposed to be to protect our coastal borders.
