Powerful explosions rock Baghdad
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3347577.stm

25 December, 2003, 03:42 GMT

A series of powerful blasts have rocked central Baghdad.

Sirens were heard in the so-called Green Zone near the headquarters of the US-led coalition early on Thursday.

The explosions came a day after insurgents struck at least three times in Iraq, killing US troops in the town of Samarra and Iraqis in Irbil.

Not much info yet. Maybe those insurgents just wanted to wish Bremmer a Merry Christmas?

6. It's Santa, and he is pissed!
The best Christmas present for the troops is to do what Dennis Kucinich says and bring them home now!

9. Why are we there?
I would hope people realize that we're there only because of lies about national security. Half the Iraqi army quit because we didn't pay them enough to fight a war for their own liberation.

I've been avoiding watching the news on continual deaths of our troops as it was raising my blood pressure and causing me untold depression.
But I do feel so sad for the families of these military personnel--the rank and file I mean. I had a daughter in Iraq in 90 91. It was the WORST time of my life. I never slept and worried all the time as I sat in front of my TV watching the mayhem.
I wish to blazes that we could get them the heck outta there. This continuing occupation of those Iraqis is nonsense. Let the Iraqi set their own government and withdraw our people from inside the cities at the very very least. The best solution is to bring them home.
Gezzz we have the most devilish and assinine leaders in American history killing all the people over there. It's criminal.
My prayers are with the families of our soldiers and the families of innocent Iraqis.

Kick Bush in the nuts!
