BAGHDAD (CNN) -- The U.S. military on Sunday announced the deaths of three U.S. troops in Iraq over the past two days, bringing to 13 the number of American service members killed in Iraq in the first week of May.
A U.S. soldier was killed and four others were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded in western Baghdad Friday, the military said.
Two U.S. Marines were killed Saturday while conducting combat operations in the Anbar Province, the military said. (Posted 6:52 a.m.)

MND-B patrol targeted by roadside bomb

BAGHDAD – A MND-B Soldier was killed and four others were wounded when an improvised explosive device detonated in a western section of the Iraqi capital May 4.
Soldiers of Multi-National Division – Baghdad continue conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon to help Iraqi Security Forces and the Government of Iraq set conditions for a stable and self-reliant nation.
