New Jersey Gov. Corzine Leaves Hospital After Being Seriously Injured in Car Crash
Source: Associated Press

CAMDEN, N.J. — An emotional Gov. Jon S. Corzine was discharged from a hospital Monday and begged forgiveness for not wearing a seat belt during a crash 18 days earlier in which he sustained critical injuries.

"I understand that I set a very poor example for a lot of young people, a lot of people in general," a teary-eyed Corzine said.

"I certainly hope the state will forgive me. And I'll work very hard to set the right kind of example," Corzine said from his wheelchair outside the hospital.

He was headed to the governor's mansion in Princeton, where he will continue his rehabilitation.

4. And violated the speed limit!
The entourage reportedly went 70 all through the posted 55 limit area, with no lights flashing.

I guess those postings only apply to us little people.

5. 70Mph on that stretch of I-295 is normal, even with the 55mph limit

6. And dumb me continues to try and obey the law
LOL, I guess speed limit laws and seat belt laws are like gun laws--nobody follows them and they're difficult to enforce, so why pay attention to them?

3. He nearly dies, now he is having to "beg forgiveness"?
Something is just so wrong with that.

He is a good enough man to beg forgiveness for not wearing a seat belt. He is a good enough man to pay his own medical bills personally.

Perhaps we should be so demanding of Emperor Little Boots.
