Mayor: 'Full Scale Riot' In Progress At Indiana Prison
Source: Associated Press

NEW CASTLE, Ind. -- A disturbance among prisoners broke out Tuesday at the New Castle Correctional Facility, and pictures taken from television helicopters showed at least two fires burning in the courtyard.
New Castle Mayor Tom Nipp told WISH-TV that he was told it was a "full scale riot."

Indiana Department of Correction spokeswoman Java Ahmed confirmed there was a disturbance but had no other details.

Nipp said the entire city police force had been activated.

1. MSNBC reporting turf battle between local prisoners and Arizona out of state inmates.
The prison, built in 2002, can house about 2,200 inmates. It currently has about 1,000 from Indiana and 630 from Arizona.

In March, Arizona and Indiana reached an agreement on housing up to 1,260 Arizona inmates.

2. It's a medium security prison but still is noted as a significant event.
No worries though: our whorish M$M (all news channels!) will obsess on every single detail of this riot at the expense of all other news stories. :eyes: Well, they're watching some tornado watches and warnings in Texas but the Cable M$M can only cover one or two subjects at a time.

By the end of this we'll have all the prisoner's names and the names of their family and friends. But we won't entertain any of the Congressional Hearings or other outlandish acts by our Unitary Executive. :(

4. They just showed on the Fox "news" ticker that it's "managed by Geo Group" or something like that.

(The Prison, not the Riot)

I know, Fox "news," but they currently have a better Live feed than MSNBC and CNN still hasn't been "alerted" about this.

14. MSNBC loves Prisons! They have Prison documentaries on
over and over and over and over again.

If I didn't know better I would suspect they are trying to show us what the new slavery is like.

9. Ah Indiana, where you can stroll through the fair on a summer's day.
Ain't that right John McCain. Seems we got a little Iraq going in that state. Out of state prisoners; our own Nazi governor, Ahnold, thought he should be shipping out prisoners to another state too.

Two hurt in New Castle prison riot

A woman who said her daughter was a correctional officer in the facility talked to WTHR-TV (Channel 13) outside, saying that prison staffers were warned earlier that trouble was coming because of the arrival last month of inmates from Arizona, housed here under a contract with the prison's private operator.

"They brought these prisoners in from Arizona," the woman said. "OK, this is Indiana. Who wants to be that far away from their own family?

She said her organization has been contacted by inmates and their family members who said prisoners who were shipped off to Indiana with little notice, including some who said they were roused from their beds in the middle of the night and told to pack.

Arizona selected prisoners who were least likely to cause trouble, Hamm said. That meant well-behaved inmates felt they were being punished for playing by the rules, she said.
