Religious Protestors Rally Against Bush Visit
Edited on Mon Apr-16-07 12:49 AM by RamboLiberal

President George W. Bush is scheduled to deliver the commencement address at Saint Vincent College this May, but that's not sitting well with everyone.

Members of the Benedictine Religious Order joined a group of alumni for a protest -- designed to put pressure on college officials to withdraw the invitation.

The protestors said they disagree with the President's foreign policy and question the message he would share with the students.

"I wouldn't recommend him a model for these young people," said Barbara Roseborough, of Benedictines For Peace.

The group claims the college sent security officers to photograph and document the names of people attending a vigil on Easter Sunday.

St. Vincent College President H. James Towey was a former Bush Admin member. This visit doesn't seem to be sitting well with many in the college and alumni. BTW, the college is in Latrobe - Dicky Mellon Scaife country and not far from Rolling Rock where Cheney goes for canned bird hunts.

16. Actually Iron City is made in the Strip District
of Pittsburgh, Lawrenceville near downtown. That plant has been in financial trouble for quite awhile.

15. The college brownshirts document names
The group claims the college sent security officers to photograph and document the names of people attending a vigil on Easter Sunday.

More than likely to give to the CIA or DHS.

Oh, what a ship of fools we are on.
