Task Force Lightning Soldiers engaged by gunfire
MND-North Public Affairs

TIKRIT, Iraq – A Task Force Lightning Soldier was killed by gunfire Thursday
in Kirkuk Province.

One other Soldier was also wounded in the incident and was taken to a Coalition
Forces’ medical treatment facility.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin
and release by the Department of Defense. The incident is currently under
investigation.

2. There will be many more dead when Bush sends the National Guard
in breach of their contract. The Guard units that are going to be alerted for deployment lack the training and the equipment they need for combat. This surge is a disaster for our military!

3. Joining the guard
Is no different than joining as an active regular.

Except you lose your house and your job will be outsourced when you get back from the third of your expected 5 or 6 tours or so
