YouTube to offer hub for political videos
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Web site YouTube says it's launching a voter education initiative that will serve as an information hub for political candidates to showcase their own videos.
The major 2008 presidential candidates are already onboard.
The effort will allow candidates to feature their own video "channels" in one location -- and for free.
YouTube says while the site is limited to candidates of legally registered political parties, it could be open in the future to groups that advocate for or against candidates. It envisions a video give-and-take between candidates and viewers.
