Iran says talks could end nuclear row
Iran insisted on Saturday a dispute with the West over its nuclear program could be resolved by negotiation as its chief nuclear negotiator arrived in Germany for meetings with European officials.

But European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana played down chances of a breakthrough at a planned meeting on Sunday with the negotiator, Ali Larijani, saying at most it could launch new efforts to resolve the stand-off.

"We believe the Iranian nuclear dossier is resolvable by negotiation," Larijani told Reuters on the sidelines of an international security conference in Munich.

"We've had constructive talks with Mr. Solana in the past and we believe that had we continued, we could have come to a positive conclusion," he said of earlier diplomacy shelved amid Western frustration at Iran's refusal to halt sensitive nuclear work.

Europeans weigh compromise offer for Iran-diplomats

By Louis Charbonneau

MUNICH, Germany, Feb 10 (Reuters) - A small group of European nations are weighing a
compromise proposal to put to Iran in the hope that it can end a long nuclear standoff
between Tehran and the West, European diplomats say.

The proposal is expected to be made by Swiss diplomats to Iran's chief nuclear negotiator
Ali Larijani, possibly on the sidelines of a Munich security conference under way in the
Bavarian capital, the diplomats said on condition of anonymity.

The proposal is that Iran would be permitted to keep its current uranium enrichment
infrastructure of several hundred centrifuges. Iran could run the centrifuges but would not
feed any processed uranium hexafluoride (UF6) into the machines while negotiating a package
of incentives with six world powers.

Although the Iranians would probably be open to such a proposal, several Western diplomats
said neither the United States nor Britain would find the idea very attractive.

The idea has only been circulated at the highest levels among a small group of European
nations, among them European Union president Germany and neutral Switzerland.

3. Unfortunately, talks are for wimps
Our General Supreme Military Commander-in-Chief He-Man War President is a decider, not a negotiator.

All surveillance cameras demanded by the UN nuclear watchdog have been installed

9. But the UN wants seals placed on doors and the camera's turned on
those doors.
Much like the deal worked out during the Sunshine policy.

I don't think Iran wants to play that game.

8. The Germans are very firm on their No Nuke stance against Iran
from the article;
The German Foreign Ministry said the Munich talks with Larijani had been arranged with an eye to a February 21 U.N. Security Council deadline for Iran to stop enriching uranium for nuclear fuel or risk broader financial sanctions

What do they know as they go behind closed doors that make them so dead set against the muslim holocaust denier nation getting nuke power?
