“This isn’t a conspiracy theory,” the Tampa-based lawyer said. “And we can prove it.”
A spokesman for Brown-Waite declined to comment on the litigation.
Russell’s legal challenge is based on a re-canvassing of precinct 151 in Shady Hills, where 46 votes went to Brown-Waite and 35 to Russell, not including six “under-votes” in which ballots were not cast in the race.

n the District 21 race, Democrat Frank Gonzalez is challenging his loss to Republican Lincoln Diaz-Balart; and Democrat Clint Curtis is contesting his defeat to Republican Tom Feeney in District 24.

"Today has been a wonderful day, not having to deal with him," she said of her Democratic challenger, John Russell. With forums morphing into heckle fests and conspiracy accusations flying, the 5th Congressional District race wasn't pretty.
But Brown-Waite's respite was short-lived.
