Halliburton also overcharged 67mil for dining tables in Iraq!
Jamie Mcintyre just said it on CNN. But said it appears to be a billing error???? He also said that it appears that although they overchraged 61mil on the gas, there's no evidence Halliburton profited from it. OMG! So, that money is still owed back to US. Oh you didn't profit. No problem go ahead and keep it. Who comes up w/ this ASS-BACKWARD LOGIC?

4. No tables in Iraq? What is it with these people.
The US tax payers are being robbed blind by Bush and his corp. They have out done the Dem of years ago. One party should never hold all the power. I always makes them crooks for some reason. We have to have them watching each other down their.

8. That was the point of checks and balances.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Therefore, our Founding Fathers did their damnedest to prevent any one person or group from achieving absolute power.

The current so-called Republicans don't believe in all that nonsense though. (Will I get deleted for saying that?)

5. Is anyone really shocked?
I mean, seriously? You have to be pretty dull not to think this was only a matter of time, even if you were a Republican.

6. I noticed every negative they reported was equally reported with a
potentially positive side for Halliburton. It was as if they (CNN) felt a need to defend Halliburton. Per Coulter and Wolfie earlier, it's ok for them to overcharge us b/c no other company can do this work in Iraq.

7. The Reich Wingers spout exactly that attitude a lot
they defend not allowing foreign companies to bid on the ground that it is US tax dollars, and then dismiss overcharges on the ground that no other companies should be allowed to bid. I think they find the circular logic amusing.

9. Then maybe the army should be doing it. Hmmmm?
Did our troops finally get the Thanksgiving packages that DHL was supposed to deliver before the singed wing made them turn tail and run?

Or are they still sitting in warehouses, waiting for delivery?

17. The only thing that shocks me
...is that it actually made the news. Of course, 99% of Americans will never hear about it, but at least the info is now out there.

13. As allies of the Imperial Family they are above the law
Watch.

The brazen response from Halliburton's current Duke of Operations was telling.

Like the Emperor himself acting as if he doesn't have to worry about "The Will of the People" (just what is it he knows, I wonder), so does Halliburton act out in the open, without shame, knwoing that as long as the Imperial Family controls Amerika, they can steal and defraud and trade with enemies all they like...

15. Why anyone in the media would express surprise at this...
...is beyond me. Real journalists (Palast and Sy Hersh come to mind) should be all over this. Is this why they needed $87 billion to rebuild an already industrialized, modern nation like Iraq?

This should piss off every taxpayer!!!
