The fight over the bad information contained in the president's State of the Union address has broken out into the open. At least one former U.S. diplomat is saying he's getting smeared by the White House. NBC's Andrea Mitchell reports.

Did Tenet know that someone in the CIA sent the memos to the White House?

It sounds to me as though the White House had informants in the CIA. My guess is that the White House will throw them to the wolves just like Blair threw Dr. Kelley.

I'm convinced of it. They're the "joke" of the industry and jokes have nothing to lose and everything to gain by going after a big, big story. Add to this story that Mrs. Allan Greenspan (Andrea Mitchell) can't be too happy that so much blame seems to be getting aimed at her husband suddenly. I can't STAND Chris Matthews and refuse to watch his show ... but he hooked me with an intro last week and he's now done 4 days of really hard-hitting shows where he has made all the repug defenders look like idiots. Buchanan and Press are forced to cover the glam crime of the day but when they get to this topic, both of them want answers. I am convinced MSNBC is the station to watch for this story.
