Blair warns of 'global struggle' (BBC) {accidentally speaks truth}
OMG -- Irony, thy name is Blair. This has to set a record for unintended truthiness.

The world has to "wake up" to the monumental struggle between the forces of moderation and of extremism, Prime Minister Tony Blair has said.

At the end of his Middle East tour, he said the ideological battle is the challenge of the 21st Century.

Of course, then he went totally off-topic by talking about some imaginary alliance against Iran. But the lead-in was right on the mark.

Global struggle: check that.
Forces of moderation and extremism: darned right, Tony.
challenge of the century: time to dig in. We CAN get rid of Bu**sh**, Blair, and their cronies, the most dangerous extremists of them all -- but only dangerous when people LISTEN to them.

1. I'm just a lowly peon
but maybe if we stopped invading them, and exploiting their resources, things would be better? Who knows.

3. Remapping the Middle East?
Well that's not batshit crazy extremism?

Eliminating evil in the world?
Well that's reasonable? Hardly extremist rhetoric!

So which ideological battle will be the challenge for Britain in the 21th century that it wasn't in the 19th and 20th centuries?

Would this 'battle' simply be trying to convince Arabs that it's better for them to be oppressed by the West rather than being killed outright?

Of course when you can't find anything to sustain 'ideological' rationale for war, you lie outright, you re-deploy the colonialists own historical narratives of anti-Semitism, genocide and violence and conflate them with your 'new' enemies or impose on them a moral standard based on killing people for money and as an 'act of faith'.

Can't believe there are basically racists buying into this horseshit that somehow the poorest people on the planet living in caves are some threat to the most advanced civilization ever produced in human history?

Talk about extremist.
