Virginia., Local Jurisdictions Faulted in Isabel (no homeland security)

VIRGINIA

Va., Local Jurisdictions Faulted in Isabel

Insufficient planning and training by the state of Virginia and local governments led to a chaotic response to Hurricane Isabel, according to a report released yesterday by a task force appointed by Gov. Mark R. Warner (D).

The report found that the state's emergency management plan has not undergone a comprehensive review in seven years -- despite other natural disasters, the sniper shootings and the attacks on the Pentagon -- and that it needs to be updated. In addition, the task force concluded that the state's system for handling requests for help by local governments failed and needs "substantive changes."

1. So where's the money going?
I feel so much safer now.

I wonder if Virginia is alone in this scenario?

2. going into shrub's campaign donors pockets....and we are
'sitting ducks' for another attack...

even right now, the whole Metro DC area is OUT of flu vaccine, and shrub wants everyone to believe that we are prepared for a bio-terrorism attack....

lots will die, especially children, because of shrub's total incompetence on homeland security issues (which include insuring everyone and getting everyone very simply vaccinated)...where is the OUTRAGE !!!! how many will DIE ???
