UN, Europe Denounce U.S.-Iraq Contracts
<http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=568&ncid=749&e=1&u=/nm/20031211/bs_nm/iraq_contracts_dc>

snip> PARIS (Reuters) - The United Nations (news - web sites) joined European leaders on Thursday in denouncing a U.S. decision to bar key American allies who opposed the Iraq (news - web sites) war from sharing in contracts to rebuild the country.

"It is up to those who took the decision to reverse it or maintain it and I hope something will be done about it," U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan (news - web sites) told reporters in Berlin.

"It is time we tried to rebuild international consensus and work together and pool our efforts...to stabilize Iraq."

As long as AWOL is in the WH, Iraq will never be stabilized and the world community will never join us in helping rebuild that country.

1. Having all the oil for Halliburton means more than keeping our allies
and having good relations with Europe, in Bu$h's mind.
