Lebanon backs UN Hariri tribunal

Lebanon's cabinet has approved draft UN plans for setting up an international
tribunal to try suspects in the killing of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

Syria has been implicated in the bombing that killed Mr Hariri in February 2005,
but denies involvement.

The cabinet's decision came hours after the resignation of another minister -
the sixth to quit since Saturday.

Most are allied to Hezbollah but the Shia movement has denied accusations
it was trying to block the tribunal.

1. I believe the basis goes like this:
President: The Shiites are no longer represented as required under the Constitution because too many ministers have resigned. You have no authority to continue.

PM: I reject their resignations.

PM: So there! Hahahaha!

PM: Who's your daddy!

2. This is a good thing
Although recent events are quite tragic, Hariri did not die in vain and was the catalyst for kicking the out the decades old Syrian occupation and gave Lebanon (even if somewhat breifly) hope for the future. What was so great about the Cedar Revolution was that the country did not collapse into Civil War which many predicted. I hope they nail his murderers.
