WASHINGTON (AFP) -
President George W. Bush is Republican campaigner-in-chief in the decisive final days before mid-term elections, leading the push to prove predictions of Democratic victory wrong.
With polls and pundits alike suggesting Democrats' control of Congress is within reach, Bush has joined the frenzied push to get Republican voters to the polls in large numbers on November 7.

Dick Cheney and other top administration figures have criss-crossed the country in recent weeks to help raise funds and rally support for particular candidates.
And while Republicans are traditionally better than Democrats at turning out to vote, conservatives could be tempted to stay away this year, turned off by budget deficits, corruption, and a recent sex scandal on Capitol Hill.
"I want to remind you, the money is one thing, turning out the vote the other," Bush said Thursday at a campaign event in Warren, Michigan.
