Romney's Friend Takes Responsibility for Report on LDS Meeting
Romney's Friend Takes Responsibility for Report on LDS Meeting
October 23rd, 2006 @ 6:21am

(KSL Newsradio/KSL TV News) A prominent developer and close friend of Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney says he was responsible for a report last week that linked the LDS Church to a Romney run for the White House.

The Church denied the report and again stated its neutrality in political matters.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports Kem Gardner told them that "innocent" discussions between the governor and church officials were mischaracterized.

Leaders for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Romney have repeatedly denied reports they met to discuss a potential presidential bid for Romney in 2008.

1. Romney should just talk directly to God, like Pat Robertson, and cut out the middle man
God told Pat to run in 1988, I'm sure if He wants Mitt to run all Mitt needs to do is ask him directly.

4. LDS is behind initiatives in every state to ban gay marriage
And they've been doing that for years. They are entirely partisan and are also violating tax laws to boot. No one in power has the nads to challenge them on it, though.

"I meant that he was on LSD."

6. My SO in utah says there's a legend in the LDS church...
...that a Mormon will become President and save the Constitution and lead the US to glory :eyes:
