A judge dismissed child pornography charges Thursday against one-time JonBenet Ramsey murder suspect John Mark Karr after prosecutors said they didn't have enough evidence.

Karr, 41, was living in Thailand when he told reporters he was with the child beauty queen JonBenet when she died. He was returned to Boulder, Colo., but DNA evidence quickly cleared the former school teacher. He was then sent back to California to face outstanding misdemeanor child porn possession charges from 2001.

He was interested in the case because he wanted to help find the real killer. Some bitch friend of a serial killer he wanted to interview started taping their private conversations and trying to get Karr to implicate himself. Next thing you know, she's turning over these illegally made tapes to the cops, perhaps in hopes of getting leniency for her serial killer/child killing boy friend. and it is through this woman that Karr was then raided for child porn on his PC. What did they find? _five_ deleted pictures that they had to recover from deletion, they since then LOST the hard drive/PC. Quite likely she emailed him the pictures, or maybe they just came in as spam, who knows. He was badly treated, beat up and set up and of course as soon as he got the chance he ran, because he figured they were going to railroad him right into jail, where he'd likely be killed.

Karr was a victim of a railroading and he used the most amazing defense I've ever seen, he admitted to the claims the cops were making about him. If he had denied involvement, I bet he'd be on his way to the electric chair today, somehow.

So yeah, he's a little off, and he legally married a young girl and it didn't work out, but "scum" seems a bit too far.
