Military Women Endorse Jim Webb for U.S. Senate
Including Naval Academy Grad Who Formerly Stood with Allen

A number of women who served in the U.S. armed forces—including a Naval Academy grad who formerly stood with Sen. George Allen—voiced their support of Jim Webb’s candidacy for the U.S. Senate today.

The women hailed Jim’s commitment to advancing women’s roles and broadening their responsibility in the United States military.

Linda Postenreider, a 1982 Naval Academy grad who was recruited to speak at a press conference commandeered by the Allen campaign earlier this month, said she has since heard from Jim Webb and liked what he has to say. Today, Ponstenriender officially endorsed Webb’s candidacy.

1. k&r; this should really help Webb with countering
the attacks that he has not changed his views on women in the military since that paper he wrote in the 70s.

Note that Webb took full responsibility and apologized for bad comments in that paper--unlike his opponent who continues to deny and lie about his far more egregious past behaviors that are probably reflective of his current attitudes as well.

2. Those Women In Macaca's Ad
Were those Naval Academy women that appear in Sen. Macaca's ad made aware that he fought tooth and nail to keep women out of VMI when he was Governor?
