Venezuela says U.S. is harboring terrorists
September 28, 2006; 9:37 PM

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Venezuela's Foreign Minister Nicholas Maduro said on Thursday the United States distinguished between "good" and "bad" terrorists, depending on their political leanings.

In an address to the Security Council during a session on terrorism and comments to reporters afterwards, Maduro said the 15-member body should join his country in demanding the United States hand over an anti-Castro Cuban accused of planning the bombing of a Cuban airliner 30 years ago.

"For the government of George W. Bush there are good terrorists and bad terrorists," he told reporters after the council meeting, in a preview of anti-American positions Venezuela is expected to take if it gets a seat on the council next year.

At issue is the case of Luis Posada Carriles, 77, a former CIA operative accused of planning the explosion of a Cubana de Aviacion airliner in 1976 that killed 73 passengers and crew.

If BushCo was serious about fighting terrorism Posada and his buddies would be spending the rest of their lives in prison. Instead, the US is bending over backward to try to figure out a way to set him free again. Got to protect those CIA assets I suppose?

9. Add former CIA, and Iran-Contra operative.
He was right about one thing: Venezuela DID use torture during the time he was there working as the head of the secret police in Caracas, according to a victem who has identified him.

They don't use it now, and he's lying through his mass-murdering teeth when he claims he'd be tortured if he had to go there to face trial.

Young and old Posada Carriles.

(Image is the body of Alberto Lovera, a Communist and professor who was assassinated in 1965 by Venezuela's police apparatus, DIGEPOL, headed by Posada Carriles.)

Caracas, July 17 (LP) A man previously tortured under the orders of Posada Carriles in Venezuela revealed a list of more than 60 people killed by groups led by the Cuban born criminal.

Angel Bastides, a former member of the Communist Youth, then arrested by a group from the Police General Division (DIGEPOL) headed by Posada Carriles, denounced that many of the killers are still free.

Bastidas ascertained Posada, already wanted by Venezuelan justice from the United States, has played a role in the repression of civil rights activists in the 1960 and 70´s.

Venezuela is currently clamoring for the extradition of the Cuban born terrorist with a Venezuelan citizenship, responsible of the blowing of the a Cuban plane in mid-air, which took the lives of 73 people.

In an article published in “Todo Adentro” weekly edition, Bastidas recalls that Posada was one of several Cubans counter-revolutionaries hired by the Venezuelan government during the term of 1965 -1970 to lead repression.

The group included among others, Orlando Bosch, Ricardo Hernandez Navarrete (El Mono) and Orlando Garcia.

6. I believe that most of the terrorists in the USA are in the WH.
.
.
.

And that the PNAC gang has hundreds of pockets of mercenaries and other paid "soldiers" across the globe that will obey any command, on demand . .

The USA has been "terrorizing" the world for decades, it's forces in over 120 countries, making threats and deals with countries for a wee bit of "aid" - but with BIG strings attached - -

SMARTEN UP REAL QUICK USA!

The whole world is watching your deplorable performance in the Middle East.

Impeach, and get rid of the Bush Cabal, and do serious changes to your foreign policy

For the World is getting REAL tired of the USA flexing their Military Might every time they want their way . .

Bully on the block?

Time to go home .

7.  Iran Calls on Britain to Stop Supporting Terrorists
EHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mohammad Ali Hoseini called on the British government to cut off its support for terrorists.

Speaking to FNA, Hoseini said pardoning a member of the terrorist group which raided Iranian embassy in London and killed two Iranian diplomats in 1980 is a green light to terrorists.

"Under such conditions where members of this terrorist group have already confessed to several terrorist operations and blasts in our Khuzestan province and took responsibility for the death and wounding of a number of innocent Iranian citizens, pardoning terrorists by London raises suspicion and many questions while it also indicates that the slogans of the British government about its campaign against terrorism are void," he continued.

14. ?
Whilst I know that we harbour a whole bunch of recent terrorists
(e.g, Blair & co) and we've pardoned a large number of "ex-"terrorists
(e.g., from NI), can someone please enlighten me at to who/which group
Mohammad Ali Hoseini is referring to?

(I couldn't see it in the linked article.)

10. It's what you get when you use criminals to fight crime.
It's just one step up from using criminals as informants; training and funding them to do a little more than just eve's dropping.
Once you start doing that, this association between crime fighting and crime becomes a two-way street. And they started doing this over half a century ago.
We are so screwed.
