BBC: US press unmoved by terror report
Most US papers agree, the release of the extracts from the National Intelligence Estimate report which finds that US involvement in Iraq has fuelled global terrorism does not reveal anything new.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/5386136.stm

The BBC article goes on to identify the major US papers and give examples of what they are reporting, but the gist of the article is in just the one paragraph above. The NIE makes US media yawn.

5. How so? The article says that the report just said what most
Americans already know. The the war has increased terrorism and the likelihood of it happening in the future.

9. I believe what was meant by unbelieveable
is that the media is not making a big stink about how the BushCo admin and the GOP still stand on the idea that staying the course in Iraq is making Americans safer.

7. the BBC World Service is my main news source
Just as in the 20th century, people in countries under fascist occupation can rely on the BBC for news.

4. Stupid, jaundiced media
All the journalists are dead. In their places are partisan hacks, corporate buttwipes and empty-headed features reporters.
