NYT/AP: Oprah Says Her Lawyers Overreacted on Oprah-for-President website
Oprah Says Her Lawyers Overreacted
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: September 25, 2006

NEW YORK (AP) -- Oprah Winfrey says her lawyers shouldn't have gone after the man who is trying to promote her as a candidate for president.

Not because she's running, mind you.

''I feel flattered by it,'' the 52-year-old talk-show host told The Associated Press on Monday. ''My lawyers overreacted, I think, by sending him a cease-and-desist order because it really is a flattering thing.''

It should have been handled in a phone call, said Winfrey, who said she's thinking of calling Patrick Crowe of Kansas City, Mo., herself.

Crowe has been campaigning to urge Winfrey to run for president for years, setting up a Web site that has its own campaign song. A month ago, Winfrey's lawyers sent Crowe a letter demanding that he remove her picture from his Web site....

1. Wha? Then how was it reported "Oprah" smacked him down?
Well that's what happens when you make yourself into a corporation by reversing the letters of your first name..

2. In other words...
... she got some bad press for sicking her lawyers on a little old man and now she trying to sway public opinion back to her side.

There is no more narcissistic, self involved, piece of shit on the planet than Oprah. I'll never understand why she has so many worshipers.

5. Wanta win the White House
Obama/Oprah for 2008. Now, of course I am kidding( kinda) if The Terrminator can be Governor of the 5th largest economy in the world why can't Oprah break Senate ties?

Now lets have some fun and come up with some Campaign slogans for the BIG O !!! ( One is never enough?)

8. This guy is a retired teacher who now owns a car wash
and he hangs a giant "Oprah for President" banner from the side of the car wash on a major street in Kansas City (Wornall Ave - I think). I smile every time I drive by it.
