U.S. envoy Bolton scolds Venezuelan for 'street theater'

<snip>

But U.S. envoy John Bolton made no apologies Monday when asked about the detention: “There was no incident at the airport. This was Venezuelan street theater,” he told reporters.

“He did not request the courtesies we would have extended to get him through the airport,” Bolton said.

“He purchased his ticket at a time and in a manner and with funding such that he was asked to go to secondary screening and he objected to that, and the first thing he did was call the press and speak to them in Spanish.”

“This was propaganda,” Bolton said. “I'm just not going to comment on that kind of non-serious performance.”

1. Bolton's Probably Lying
If this was the truth, I doubt that the State Department would have apologised without mentioning the particulars that Bolton claimed. What an evil person.

2. If it is the truth then they
walked right into it. Makes them look like the bumbling fools that they are.

3. Hopefully you won't need to put up with Bolton
for too much longer. When he's replaced maybe someone should shove a stick up his backside and use him as a broom.

6. Stomping on the GOP Perogative, Was He?
Couldn't stand a furriner pulling the SOS (same old shit) that the GOP loves? And doing it better?

Maybe because it wasn't a stunt, but real, and BushCo got its hand caught in the cookie jar?

Why is it that one must fill the aether with question marks and exclamation points? Can we have some public life that reverts to plain declarative sentences, please?

7. Maduro spoke to the press "in Spanish"? What gall.
“He purchased his ticket at a time and in a manner and with funding such that he was asked to go to secondary screening and he objected to that, and the first thing he did was call the press and speak to them in Spanish.”

“This was propaganda,” Bolton said.

8. The nerve!
Every bit as bad as asking the president of France a question in French! If the Queen's English was good enough for Jesus Christ, it's good enough for everyone else!

12. Here's some background info ...
In May 2005, Plato's Retreat was in the news because of allegations made by Hustler publisher Larry Flynt that John R. Bolton, President George W. Bush's nominee for ambassador to the United Nations, visited the club and forced his first wife, Christina Bolton, to engage in group sex.

I think Flynt peeked into Bolton's divorce papers to acquire this dirt that the msm quickly swept back under the rug.

15. A bit of trivia
It is well known in DC that Flynt will pay a $1 mil bounty for sufficiently scandalous dirt on elected officials, and has apparently put together quite a database.

It makes you wonder how much more honor and "values" * can restore to the White House and the Republican Party. How much more can they bear.

It's a pity he didn't ask the advice of Sister Mary and Brother Gannon, during one of their prayer-breakfasts, before appointing him US ambassador to the UN. I hope Bill Clinton and his supporters feel duly chastened. "Go, President Clinton, and sin no more!"
