Syrian President says U.S. to blame for attack on its embassy
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has said that the U.S. Middle East policies are to blame for a recent attack on the U.S. embassy in Damascus, the independent Syria-News website reported on Sunday.

Four Syrians failed an attempt to explode the embassy on Sept. 12 as Syrian security forces killed three of them in a shootout. The fourth man later died of his wounds in a hospital.

Assad said that the four assailants were not from a specific group but only al-Qaida sympathizers from the suburbs of Damascus who called Osama bin Laden "the lion of Islam" according to the data recovered from their computers.

1. I don't think anyone is going to argue with this.
You may, however, get some irrelevant, gratuitous, ad hominem attacks on the Syrian leader. Neocon propaganda seeks to demonize him and his country, as they are on the target list.

It should also be noted that the subject title says "U.S. to blame" when, in fact, the article states that it is the U.S. Middle East policies" that are to blame.
