His sacred records can suck my toe. We are not talking about an ordinary citizen we are talking about Rush LimpBalls the pimp of HATE.

This fuckwittage is a MENACE to the civil world. A fucking plague on humanity. Please do not shoot your mouth off about privacy and anything sacred when you are spewing about Rush.

He has NO respect for you and thinks you are pond scum.

20. I Agree 1000%
This effing blowhard would piss on your grave if he thought it would advance the Repuke agenda. I have no sympathy for him. I thought that maybe, just maybe, if he came back on the air and started making amends to the people he has hurt with his bombastic diarrhea of the mouth. Here are just some examples, and I don't even listen to him anymore:
Puff Daschle
Nikita Dean
Comparing Chelsea Clinton to a dog
Verbally pissing on the grave of Paul Wellstone
Comparing DEMS to Stalinist and Communist
Feminazis

I'm sorry, but if Rush Limpballs was on fire, I would not even piss on him. I hope he enjoys the Patriot Act and the War on Drugs and the Attack on Civil Liberties that he HELPED bring to this country.

You made your bed Rush, lay in it you fat f#$k

42. It's not possible to lower one's self to Rush's level
Rush is lower than whale debris in the Marianas Trench.

Seriously, liberals and progressives in this country have taken a 24-hour-a-day hammering from neofascists for at least 20 years, with Rush Limbaugh and his ilk at the forefront of the attack. Rush deserves every bad thing that happens to him. I, for one, have not one iota of sympathy for this sick, sorry individual. And no one can make me.

Edited on Thu Dec-04-03 03:55 PM by dirk
but when a felony is reasonably suspected, law enforcement has the right to obtain his records. They probably could have asked for them first, but they're not required to do so, apparently.

I find it amusing that Rush's big defense here is that he had a medical problem for which he needed the drugs. All well and good, buttboy, but you didn't have prescriptions. That's the fly in the felony ointment, as it were.

22. Where does that come from?
What legal or ethical code declares medical records "sacred"?
They are certainly private, and should not be unsealed by just anyone who wants to dig through them, but there are legitmate reasons for using them in the defense or prosecution of a crime.
What medical condition or procedure could be so shameful or embarrasing that it should help mask the commission of a crime or the innocence of the wrongly accused?

No fucking state even Florida allows a person to write their own prescription and that is what fucking Rush did.

A prescription is a directive written by a doctor for the preparation and use of a medicine to treat a designated patient.

Rush isn't a fucking doctor.

He is a liar and a thief. And a junkie BTW. No fucking county is going to save him.

38. The big question there is:
Did any of the four doctors know any of the others were also prescribing the drugs to Rush? If not, that's a classic case of doctor shopping--he won't be able to blame his addiction on the doctors if he didn't inform them he was seeing multiple physicians. It's also a clear indication of an intent to deceive.

This is actually the first I've heard of multiple physicians for Rush--I thought he got all his drugs off the street, from the housekeeper. Defrauding your physician in this manner is just as serious a crime, however.

Mmmm, as a former drug inspector, I can hardly wait to see how this case pans out!

This is exactly what I was going to post. We've seen it in patients at the hospital: Rx's for the same drug from different Dr's and different pharmacies. Until they are so screwed up and start mixing up which dr. goes with which pharmacy, then people get suspicious and it starts to unravel.

59. hmmmmmmmm if he was getting the scripts from four docs...
then why did the housekeeper get involved? This investigation got going because of her involvement - and had been under investigation for quite some time before the story broek. Hence, if she had been lying, there would have been no story. Even if there had been four doctors... starting some time by 1999 he seems to (though not absolutely proven) have started going outside of these docs to get the pills.

Which is to say, the exact opposite of Rush. I have worked with many parents of children with Downs Syndrome and on behalf of each and every one of them, I tell you that when it comes to having a snotty and ignorant mouth, your insulting turn of phrase holds its own with Rush. I expect I'll get a defensive response from you to my post , and also from that small crew of DUers who defend to the death their right to use any form of mental retardation as appropriate insults to those with whom they disagree - all under that tattered banner of attacking the concept of Political Correctness. And I give an anticipatory response that it's NOT about political correctness or lack thereof; it's about common human decency and empathy for those innocents who through no fault of their own are mentally retarded.

The AG's want to have thier ducks in order before bringing charges. The banking records from NY showing money laundering, the tapes made by his 'maid', the 'trafficking' type quantities, all point to big time sentences. Possible he have provided scripts from four doctor's to the 'maid' who would go to different places to get them filled. That is conspiracy and would fit the R.I.C.O. guidelines.
bye bye hatemonger.

39. Not exactly true
It's possible to be seeing more than one pysician for different conditions and receiving controlled drugs Rx's from both, and still be acting in good faith. The crux is, did he tell all these doctors about each others' existence? If he lied to his doctors about what drugs he was getting, in order to obtain more drugs, that's a felony.

33. After reading the statement from Rush’s attorney
I notice it says they seized the “medical records from four doctors.” Does that mean just Rush’s records all the records they had? If they have seized all the records it would mean the doctors themselves are being investigated. From the sound of Roy Blacks whimpering it looks like Rush is the primary target.

40. It's probably both
Although they likely only seized Rush's medical records, not those of all the patients of all four doctors. They'll be looking at the records to see if Rush had a documented need for Class 2 pain medication. This cuts two ways: If this condition isn't documented, it's very bad news for Rush (although even if it is, that doesn't get rid of the fact that he was obtaining controlled drusg without a prescription). They'll also be looking to see if the doctors who did prescribe the drugs to Rush properly documented the need for the drugs. Failure to do that is crime, and also seriously impairs one's professional licensure as well. The doctors are reasonably suspect as complicit here, so all facets of the care they provided him will be examined.

I'm betting at least one of them knew full well he was an addict and did nothing about it. Or worse.

57. now that I've read more on the wires
I think it was warranted to get his medical records. Why? because he's suspected of going to a lot of doctors to get painkillers without telling them of the other prescriptions and that's illegal in Florida.

60. Poor baby!
Blames the fact that he is "famous", and that if he were not, this wouldn't be happening to him. Right! If he were from a minority group, he would be in jail by now! And without a "famous" lawyer!

67. What will Rush say next about this.
Edited on Thu Dec-04-03 10:18 PM by Norbert
my feeling is he will say something like, "Why don't law enforcement arrest murderers and rapists instead of picking on me." Isn't that what the guilty ones say on the old Adam 12 TV shows.

They're closing in on you, Rushie baby.
