Gov. (Ah-nuld)'s Event Draws AP Protest
The Associated Press said it is protesting Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's handling of his public appearance in Monrovia on Wednesday, an event the governor's aides omitted from his public schedule.

About 8 a.m. Wednesday, Schwarzenegger's press office notified AP's Los Angeles bureau that the governor would stop at Jake's Roadhouse in the San Gabriel Valley community, and asked AP to handle pool coverage for other media outlets, AP editors said.

But the governor's office did not notify other news organizations or update its schedule until after the appearance had concluded.

2. Because his people are *'s people
He's following Shrub's style of 'governing' to a T, right down to wanting to change the tone in Sacramento.

4. He has to make public appearances
He's trying to get approved a $15 billion turkey.

There's no way it would have a chance in hell without him going out and stumping constantly for it.

He's going to be in my town (Bakersfield) this afternoon. I think I'm going to puke.

7. That's my hometown
During the recall election, he was at a shopping center where my aunt works. She said it was a pain in the ass to get to and from work that day. The next day, one of the ladies she works with was just GUSHING "oh, did you get to see ARNOLD, yesterday". My aunt said "HELL NO! I wouldn't walk two feet to see that sonovabitch". Guess Aunt Pat made it clear 'round the beauty shop where she stands. You should hear her, my mom and step dad when they're at work at my step-dad's office (Aunt Pat works part time in both places). They have a FEW clients that are hard line liberals and honey, they let it fly!

12. You must be talking about the Marketplace appearance
The place where the Nazi bitch tore up a protester's sign.

Boy, was she ever raked over the coals in the newspape for her fascist action.

6. Because he's an ACTOR, not a real politician.
It's what he knows best. Make an appearance, give a few one liners and go to the trailer.

The mechanics of running a state? Arnold? Bwahahaha!

8. Even some GOP'er are getting fed up.
Many GOP members of the Assembly and state Senate are attacking his ballot measures.

Too bad my state is going to have to suffer when the shit blows up in his plastic surgery face.

9. Here's the problem, though
The Dems have introduced their own bond initiative, as if the argument that a bond in general is a bad idea is moot.

11. He did not dismiss campaign staff when recall was over.
I forgot where I read that (SacBee, SFGate, or LATimes probably) so I can't provide a link, but I'm sure that's right.

He means to keep them on to "sell" his agenda. :eyes:
