Suspected illegal workers arrested at military housing site
<snip>

The immigration raid ranked among the biggest in state history. Federal agents loaded most of the workers onto buses bound for the U.S.-Mexico border for deportation, and supervisors vowed to hold military contractors who employed the workers accountable. Previous immigration enforcement in this area ended with deportations, but "we are taking a different approach now," said Jeff Copp, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agent in charge of Denver district operations.

. . .

Air Force officials on the Buckley base - located in east Aurora beneath giant white radar "golf balls" - blamed their contractor, Texas-based Hunt Building Co., a leading provider of military housing including facilities at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

"It's their responsibility to ensure their company abides by the law," said Air Force Staff Sgt. Aaron Cram, the base spokesman. "We take our security seriously."

Hunt's superintendent on this $78 million, 353-unit housing project, Bruce Jackson, said he had no idea workers were illegal. "Certainly not," Jackson said.

1. Why am I not surprised?
but why, if they are targeting the employers, did the workers get rounded up?

2. just because the employers were also guilty of breaking the law...
does not make the presence of the "illegals" legal.

3. KBR was caught human traffiking in Iraq
KBR was still the top contractor even after they were caught.

You better believe almost nothing will be done to this GOP approved building vendor. The article is probably just spin.
