within the margin of error

And showing Whitehouse with a lead over Chafee

Just a poll, but looking like our hard work is paying off. Let's keep in their swinging.

1. This poll also shows Lamont leading among Independents
I expect that lead to increase.

FYI, I just converted a Republican in my town to Lamont. He hates Lieberman and Schlesinger. He's seen Ned's ads and liked what he saw.

3. both states have independents shifting to the dem candidate
I'm doing what I can here in RI to keep that trend going. Keep up the good work in CT, and if it looks like Whitehouse has a secure lead I'll be hopping the line into CT the last few weeks of the campaign to help out Lamont.

4. Good news for all races
Historically, any time there is a shift of independent voters to one party's candidate, it is usually a trend that applies to all other races. IOW if I's are starting to shift to the Lamont, it means they'll switch to D's in other races as well.
