Sudan blames Israel and Jews for many of its woes

UNITED NATIONS, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Sudan's president said on Tuesday his country would never allow U.N. peacekeepers into Darfur and charged that the West wanted to dismember his country in order to help Israel.

"It is very clear there is a plan to redraw the region," especially after the invasion of Iraq, President Omar Hassan al-Bashir told a news conference on the sidelines of a ministerial U.N. General Assembly session.

"The main purpose is the security of Israel. Any state in the region should be weakened, dismembered in order to protect the Israelis, to guarantee the Israeli security," he said.

Asked about Sunday's rallies Darfur peace rallies from Rwanda to San Francisco, Bashir said they were "invariably organized by Zionist Jewish organizations."

10. Or somebody's support, anyway. It's the formula: Be a two-bit, evil,
corrupt, murderous scumbucket, then say it's the JEWS' fault.

Even Idi Amin knew that.

8. Ever hear of a map, genius?
It's hip! It's now! And it'll show you that Israel is well over a thousand miles from Sudan. So how is "dismembering" Sudan (which, like Iraq, was cobbled together by colonial powers to begin with) supposed to help Israel?

Who is this guy, Ahmadinejad's understudy or something? Sheesh! :eyes:

12. Just another two-bit loser. Who believes he's not a loser because he
can cause lots of people to be murdered and to starve to death and be raped and mutilated.

The world's full of them. And, unfortuately, there are plenty more wher he came from.

11. I've seen people on major left/center websites
claim that the Darfur protests were organized by Israel.

The sooner those shitheads are purged from the ranks, the better.

individual hijacked a tread and was put in his/her place by the other folks there...so my position is the same...please don't paint the "left" with such a broad brush...'nuff said.

30. I'm not saying that it's a widely held belief on the left, but rather
that creepy elements from the White Christian and Islamist right tend to try to infiltrate the progressive movement.

Why should the Sudanese be annoyed with Israel -- if anything they should invite them over, so they can give pointers on ethnic cleansing...Israel doesn't Schwarzer either

19. Bashir can kiss my ass
Why bring up Israel? It's people like him that continue to destroy Sudan. I fondly remember bombs falling from the sky, I remember when foreign aid was brought he kept for "his" people. This fucker killed my people because we refused to reform to Islam and i can't believe he is still president. This idiot ruined my childhood and the lives of many others. When I was 5 or 6 I remember hearing about the execution of priests, my father is a priest I feared that he would be next. But luckily he was always out the country for his studies when tensions were high. The state of the country is a shame maybe it's best if the country is divided into 2 the Arab north and the Christian south. Their will never be peace in Sudan unless their is a new leader.

....Radicals seem to be so quick to blame Jews for everything.:eyes:

21. The Darfur peace rallies were, indeed, largely organized by Jewish charity
Jews have been at the forefront of the fight to end the Darfur genocide, not because of any perceived interest of Israel's, but because genocide is bad, and "never again" means "NEVER again."

32. Great example to show my teenage son
I hope that when he matures his first reaction to a tough situation will be to consider what he can do to make it better, rather trying to figure out how it is really someone else's fault. Finding fault is an easy, though often necessary, part of solving a problem, especially if you can blame someone whom you do not like.
