1. I guess 1500 Norwegian Jews is just 1500 too many
Damn, it's like targeting Norwegian left-handed podiatrists.

3. This is an ugly episode
It's developing, and I'm looking forward to get the culprits behind it in the slammer.
The Norwegian Jews are being juxtaposed against the Norwegian Muslims in a fight nobody wants. Damn the people that's putting people into small boxes, then damaging their religious symbols or places of worship.

It is now 9:15 on Tuesday and we have fewer than 5 posts. The spread of anti-Semitism is increasing exponentially and, as in Germany in the 30's, many if not most are in denial.

I am outraged by this attack upon a religious building, almost certainly perpetrated as a HATE CRIME, and demand that the government of Norway investigate this, capture the miscreant(s) and punish them severely.

6. Here we go...
I stated that they needed to catch the fellow who DID it, that implies a trial would be conducted if the individual wereto be found guilty, then the rest would follow.

Maybe some would like to give him the Medal of Freedom...whatcha think?

8. Police arrest four over shots fired at Oslo synagogue
<snip>

"Norwegian police on Tuesday arrested four men suspected of firing shots at an Oslo synagogue last weekend, the national news agency NTB reported.

The four, aged between 20 and 30, were suspected of having fired at least 10 shots at the synagogue in central Oslo with an automatic weapon, or of having taken part in the incident.

"The four men have different ethnic backgrounds," police Inspector Iver Stensrud told NTB, but he declined to say where they were from.

Stensrud said there might be further arrests.

"We have intelligence information that it will not necessarily stop with this," he told NTB."

I hope that it remains in the news. This kind of thing is just unacceptable and needs to be stopped dead in its tracks.:-(

On edit: It appears that these thugs had even bigger plans...x(

Oslo synagogue detainees accused of embassy plot

By John Acher

OSLO, Sept 21 (Reuters) - Four men charged with firing shots at an Oslo synagogue at the weekend have also been accused of plotting to blow up the U.S. and Israeli embassies in Oslo, an attorney for one of the accused said on Thursday.

Earlier on Thursday, Oslo police said they had expanded their charges against the four men arrested on Tuesday to include a charge of terrorism, but they gave no further details and they declined to confirm or deny the attorney's remarks.

"The police say that they (the accused men) were talking about blowing up the embassies -- the American and Israeli embassies," attorney Vegard Aaloekken told Reuters.

9. I'm not surprised.
Anti-semitism cloaked in the form of anti-Zionism has spread like wildfire amongst some circles.

unless the shooters are actually trespassing.

A television camera mounted on the synagogue at the Jewish community center in Oslo must be removed by March 1, ending the monitoring of private balconies, streets and sidewalks in the area.

Inspectorate director Georg Apenes told the newspaper that the center had the right to monitor their own property, but not the neighborhood. That job belonged to the police, Apenes said.
