Landrieu (D-La) calls GOP "boneheaded" on Senate floor
I'm sorry if this has already been posted...

“America is tired of the wrongheaded and boneheaded leadership of the Republican Party that has sent $6.5 billion a month to Iraq when the front line was Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia,” Landrieu said.

The United States captured a man who did not attack this country in Saddam Hussein while letting go the man who did in Osama bin Laden, Landrieu said.

“They’re the ones who are in charge and Osama bin Laden is still loose,” Landrieu said.

8. Damn right Mary! Keep it up!!
Good for you Mary! I just watched the video. It's a great example to all other Dems, in office and everywhere! C'mon Dems, put on some "balls" and fight these Republican bastards!! And Mary, yes, remember this the next time you think you might want to support these right wing thugs on any of their corporate-loving legislation. But damn good for you this time! Keep it up!!

3. Holy Crap!
Maybe Mary is finally coming to her senses, realizing she's supposed to be a Democrat and that Shrub and Company didn't give a flying fuck about Louisiana and it's inhabitants before, during and after Katrina, and nothing she can say or do means a rat's ass to the Repukes.
Way to go, Mary! I hope you come up with more comments like that!!!

4. Mary, Mary Quite Contrary...
....you have been to dem positions in the past. Maybe the bushies screwing over Louisiana and New Orleans so bad, and you in particular, have returned you to the fold. Funny how these thugs in our White House are even pi..ing off their allies lately. Good to see and hear Mary speak out against the Decider. Now please keep doing it. If you want to call yourself a dem - dammit, be a dem! The true majority is with you.

5. They haven't attacked us here 'cause we're taking it to'em in Iraq

AS IF Osama is sitting in his cave in Afghanistan trying to figure out what to do to us in Iraq!

Bush created his own jihadists there, and in Spain, and in England.

10. What does she mean GOP, didn't she vote for the same things they did?
Has there been any votes she sided with the Democrats on?

11. Yes, she is one of the "gang of 14",,,
the 7 moderate democrats and 7 moderate republicans who seem to be the ones to compromise efforts when bills do get passed. But her nickname is "Military Mary", and gets tough when she needs to. Maybe it's a general overall strategy to compromise with republicans on certain matters they'll win anyway so she can be heard by the other side when she does get tough. I don't know.

I do know she was a HUGE Kerry supporter; not at all silent when it came to the 2004 election. Still, I wish she was a little more on our side of the aisle. But she's really not a DINO and we in Louisiana are lucky to have a strong and respected Democrat as our senior senator. By comparison, the junior senator since 2004 is a sniveling, wimpy, whiny, stuck-up republican (Vitter). So at least for today, hats off to Mary.
