Rhode Island Democratic senator hospitalized
WASHINGTON --Democratic Sen. Jack Reed of Rhode Island was hospitalized overnight as a precaution after feeling faint, his spokesman said Friday.

Reed, 56, was not feeling well late Thursday and called his doctor, who told him to go to the hospital, spokesman Chip Unruh said in a statement. Reed checked into George Washington Hospital and remained overnight.

Unruh said the senator was scheduled to be released Friday after spending the morning working from the hospital.

"He's on his BlackBerry, he's e-mailing, he's calling. We're trying to tell him to get some rest," Unruh said. "He's feeling great."

6. Well, thank us he had medical insurance. . .
imagine if he was one of the 40+ million without -- he'd be in a waiting room somewhere, still trying to get admitted, or more likely, lying on bed at home hoping it just got better by itself.

9. It doesn't change that we provided him with his medical insurance. . .
Let him buy it for himself -- like I have to do for my family -- and our heads would spin loop-de-loops with the speed that Congress would act to fix the medical insurance situation. I just hope he's enjoying the jello we all bought him cause he "felt a little faint." Maybe when I scrape together enough money to cover the medical care I've needed for almost a year now, there'll be enough left over for my wife to fix me jello when I'm kicked out the day of my surgery and told to go home since my insurance doesn't cover hospitalization.

Doesn't matter to me if he's a good guy or not. Until we treat them all like we're treated we can never expect them to act in our behalf.
