Violence after U.S. troops raid Iraq Shi'ite office
DIWANIYA, Iraq (Reuters) - U.S. troops raided an office of the political movement led by radical Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr in a southern Iraqi city on Thursday and several people were hurt in subsequent disturbances, witnesses said.

Followers of Sadr, whose Mehdi Army militia fought the Iraqi army in the city two weeks ago, said U.S. troops raided their headquarters in Diwaniya, 180 km (115 miles) south of Baghdad, around 4 a.m. (OOOO GMT), removing computers and papers.

A local journalist saw soldiers return to the area of the office, on a crowded, narrow commercial street, some hours later. People around the office threw rocks at the Americans, and there was some shooting and explosions, he said.

A woman and her daughter were hurt, apparently in a blast.

After the U.S. force withdrew, several dozen Sadr supporters marched to the office of the local governor's office. Guards there opened fire on them, wounding four, the reporter said.

2. It is almost like no one has a reason in what they do.
It leaves one just worn out trying to figure out what they are doing. Usually one can see one step coming after a step forward but this group just seems to be all over the place. I just am sure these wars are being led by the WH and this is how they seem to do every thing. It is like riding 'into the valley' when we have 'divine' leaders leading us down to one defeat after another because you always get this when you are led by fools. A great country is not left in the hand of people who get to the top with names they were born with and money. You need talent. We seem to have got rid of that dead breed. Strange to think that this is how we may go down when our ideas have gone around the world and most likely will win in the long run. Lets hope we are there to be with the people who have picked up our ideal of people ruling them self that was so very new to the world when we put it into use 200 years ago.

3. We have talent. We have retired military like Wesley Clark.
But the current bunch of criminals can't deal with a man like him. He's intelligent and honest. The total antithesis of that crowd.

5. One has to see how hard it is for a Bush to see this
After all if a man got where he is on talent it puts the second rate people in a very poor place. What can a Bush do with a Clark or Clinton that got to the top on brains and hard work when you use your father's name to do the same? I am sure your ego must stamp them out or get them to sell out so you can use them. Bush tends to build u[ second rate people like him self I must say.

4. These Shia and Sunnis are idiots. Don't they see that they are killing
each other on behalf of the US and the coalition. We should just leave and let them kill each other off since they seem hell bent on doing that anyway.

6. Would you rather they combined forces and attacked the U.S. troops?
The fact is, they wouldn't be killing each other if Bush had listened to the generals in the first place.
