Former governor King in intensive care after brain surgery (MA)
BURLINGTON, Mass. --Former Massachusetts Gov. Edward J. King, who underwent brain surgery after he fell at the family's home in Middleton, remains heavily sedated and in intensive care, his son said Tuesday.

"We were hoping for some good news to report," Timothy King said when reached by telephone. "It hasn't really come yet."

Timothy King said his father was not awake, but doctors at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington said he was not in a coma and was kept immobilized to help prevent seizures.

...

King, a former player with the NFL's Baltimore Colts and Buffalo Bills of the All-American Football League, is a conservative Democrat who defeated Michael Dukakis in the 1978 Democratic primary for governor. King lost a rematch four years later

I think this is LBN-worthy. My apologies if not.

1. I wish him well in his recovery
I may not agree with some of his views, but this is not about politics.
