6. He's the #2 of the real Al Qaeda who the US never touched.
So he's the same #2 as for 9/11.

FYI, since it's easy to laugh at the state of "Al Qaeda in Iraq".

8. why do we give them air time
Why on earth do we give every little video from al Queda worldwide distribution and broadcast? Why aren't these guys in custody or dead? Why doesn't anyone ask such rational questions?

10. The point is for you to be afraid, so you need protection from your
outrageously paternal and war mongering government. BE AFRAID!!! Look over there, that man wants to kill you, give up your rights so we can protect you. See those men over there, they look like him, and want to kill you also, we need to give lots and lots of money to our friends, so we can KILL THEM and protect you! Meanwhile, go shopping to save America. It's how it works. It's a con - kind of like a mobster's protection racket.

17. It was a point of discussion back in '01 and '02.
The concern was that messages could be encoded in them, or it was bad for morale, or simply promulgating the message and spin AQ wanted.

The newspapers and numerous others complained, saying they'd wait until people could look at the tapes, but they were played overseas in any event. Freedom of the press. They got a fair amount of support. It was mostly freepers that pitched a fit at having them aired. The people that hated freedom of the press lost.

The questions are asked. Remember Rudolph? Atlanta Olympic Games bombing?

12. Al-Zawahri: Gulf, Israel next targets
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060911/ap_on_re_mi_ea/sept11_video

CAIRO, Egypt - Osama bin Laden's deputy warned that the Persian Gulf and Israel would be al-Qaida's next targets in portions of a new videotape aired by Arab broadcaster Al-Jazeera on Monday, the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Ayman al-Zawahri also accused the governments of Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia of supporting Israel's war against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Addressing the West, the al-Qaida No. 2 said, "You should not waste your time in reinforcing your troops in Iraq and Afghanistan because their fate is doomed ... Instead, you have to reinforce your troops in two regions. First is the Gulf, where you would be thrown out ... and second is Israel."
