At least 13 killed, 11 corpses found in Iraq
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Insurgents killed at least 13 people across Iraq, while police found the bodies of 11 men shot dead in apparent sectarian killings.

The US military also announced that three of its soldiers were wounded in a bomb attack in Baghdad.

A string of explosions rocked the capital early Saturday killing at least four people and wounding dozens, security officials said.

Most of the attacks appeared to have targeted security forces, including a large car bomb in Zayuna that went off as a US patrol passed but killed only two Iraqi bystanders, interior ministry spokesman Brigadier Abdul Karim Khalaf said.

3. It is getting worse by the day.
I don't know how those poor people live like that. I did read somewhere that their mental state is getting pretty bad. I'm surprised that they all don't just hide in the bottom of their closets.

4. Baghdad attack wounds three US soldiers
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Three US soldiers were wounded in a makeshift bomb attack in Baghdad's eastern Jadida neighbourhood, the military said.

"Three soldiers were wounded ... when their humvee was hit by an improvised explosive device," US military spokesman Major William Willhoite told AFP Saturday.

An AFP photographer at the site said a US humvee was completely destroyed by the blast.

The US military delays the announcement of fatalities until victims' families have been notified.

Since Sunday, 17 US servicemen have been killed across Iraq.

The total number of US service personnel killed since the March 2003 invasion of Iraq has reached 2,663, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures.
