Did the 9/11 hijackers have a U.S. accomplice? (Deported b/4?'ing)

It's one of the most pressing questions after the 9/11 terrorist attacks: Did the 19 hijackers have any accomplices inside the United States? The FBI has always said "no," but NBC News has learned that because of new information, the FBI has now renewed its investigation of a man the 9/11 Commission said was "perfectly suited" to help the hijackers with their mission.

<snip>

NBC News has learned that the renewed FBI investigation was triggered, in part, by surveillance videotapes from inside the Los Angeles Airport shot in June 2000 — a year before 9/11.

Law enforcement officials tell NBC the grainy tapes show terrorist Nawaf al-Hazmi with Abdullah and an unidentified man. Sources say the men appear to be scouting out the airport. Some FBI agents believe that one of the men may be holding a video camera and rotates in a circle while secretly videotaping near the security area.

<snip>

The 9/11 Commission says Abdullah had extremist sympathies, helped the two hijackers get drivers licenses and flight training and, after 9/11, "expressed hatred for the U.S. government."

But before the 9/11 Commission could question him, the U.S. deported him.

15. Link? He was deported BEFORE 9/11 commission could question him.

Who gave the order to deport him? Why then and not before?

By itself it means little.

But add it too ALL the other questions about 9/11 and you'd expect at least someone to ask them.

2. In any sane world, this story would be potential dynamite.
In Through-the-Looking-Glass America, it will be buried faster than a dead skunk.

5. You know in the beginning...
I didn't want to believe that Republicans were anything more than incompetent in regards to 9/11... but "The More I Know" the more sick I become at what they probably did on 9/11.

8. The Washington Post
wrote and article today which states that the BBC retracted the claims that 6 of the hijackers are still alive. Does anyone know anything about that? That's news to me.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/07/AR2006090701669_pf.html

"The truth movement makes much of a 2001 BBC report that a half-dozen of the hijackers were still alive. They mention Waleed al Shehri, a pilot who still flies commercial runs in Morocco. But the BBC retracted that.

It turns out the live guy and the dead hijacker spelled their names differently."

Does that mean they just retracted the story about al Shehri or about all 6?

:shrug:

12. I don't recall them retracting it....
....but if they did, they never got around to removing or editing the articles on their website:

13. So they went to the airport to drop this guy off, that is so suspicious!
" Why didn't they find these tapes until 2004 isn’t known — especially since the FBI knew that on the day these tapes were shot in June 2000, one of the hijackers went to Los Angeles Airport for a flight home to Yemen."

I guess it's like those 24 they arrested in England, all hardened terrorists weren't they.

14. Dick Cheney, Dubya and the PNAC crew. Gee, now what low level
person can they find who would have known the Commission was looking for this guy and also had the power to get him deported pronto...?

Flight training! Still cracks me up that people belive that part of the official conspiracy theory. That these guys actually flew these planes after taking flight training on small planes and training modules. How stupid are Americans?
