Edwards considering presidential run, blasts Bush administration
Associated Press

Former U.S. Sen. John Edwards said Thursday he's considering another run at the White House and criticized the Bush administration for not providing "natural leadership."

"I'm very seriously thinking about running for president, but haven't made a decision yet," Edwards said during a campaign-style stop at a former textile mill now used to help small businesses.

The Democrat said the Republican administration has failed to lead the world.

"We are the natural leaders on the planet, and today that natural leadership is not there," he said.

2. CHEENEE has been fortunate in the Dem VP candidates against him
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 10:36 AM by UTUSN
EDWARDS might have tried blasting the Shrub mal-admin a wee bit harder during Campaign '04. He sat there looking purty while CHEENEE got away with saying he had never met EDWARDS due to absenteeism from the Senate. We needed a pit bull. EDWARDS might have said something like, "Perhaps you haven't encountered me because you refuse to meet with both parties, only meet with your own party caucus." SOMEthing.

Then there was Joementum licking CHEENEE to death during THEIR "debate." I'm sorry, but I gave all my hope and loyalty the first time around. No seconds for non-fighters.

3. I like Edwards very much
I would vote for him. I don't think he wanted to back down in 04 like Kerry did. I'm not slamming Kerry but he was not aggressive enough with the election fraud.

5. I like all Dems and will vote for any of them as nominees, but
among ourselves, in the primaries, these non-fighters will not be my first choice.

14. I like Edwards. Don't you remember what happened after the
debate? Ms. Edwards walked right up to Cheney and basically said "Funny, that you don't remember meeting John at the Communion Breakfast and at............."

There are pix of both meetings.

She's a pistol and like both of them.

21. It wasn't part of the debate, she wasn't the candidate, the peeps didn't
hear that (nor did I). And the statement you quote didn't blunt the effect that CHEENEE's barb make. The one I wanted (above) was sharper and more partisan and more pertient. All that said, it's danged telling about our government that a senator and the pResident of the Senate can function with minimal to no meetings whatEVER the circumstances.

4. Still awaiting his apology
for the shabby way he treated those of us opposed to the war in 2003. He refused to meet with us, refused to address our concerns, and just kept banging the war drum for Bush.

I have little respect for a man who abdicates his moral responsibility and then claims he was duped by Bush.

Being duped by Bush is like being swindled out of your life savings by a five year-old.

6. but, but, but
he's one of the "natural leaders on the planet." Natural leaders don't need to meet with mere followers. Besides, he's got great hair...

Johnny one-term still fails to impress.

19. His ego led him to run for a job
he wasn't qualified for, and handed his seat over to a Republican.

24. No, just an observer of human nature
He was my senator and we now have Richard Burr representing us, or rather representing the fascists in my state.

10. I read one article about a sit-in in his office.
They removed everyone but the leader and the leader of the group met with him for an hour.

I wish I could find that article...I'll look right now.

18. Don't know about that one
I refer to the day we marched in Raleigh against the war.

Again, claiming you were duped by Bush does not say much for your intelligence.

7. Edwards is the GOP's worst nightmare....
He is not tainted with scandal, he wasn't in the Senate long enough to get a record, he's charismatic, he has a sympathy factor (lost his son, wife fighting breast cancer). Look for them to swift boat him from the get go. He is a scrappy fighter. He and Gore are my two favs to make an impact and I would vote for either.

8. Gore and Edwards will fight
Edward's is a fighter, Kerry, is the one that held him back. Gore must have learned in the 2000 election, that a good boy isn't the way to the White House, he should come out fighting as Gore really does...Gore has the fight in him, if the democrats and independents don't get all up in the air, about being nice...Let Gore and Edward's speak what is on their minds, don't try to make them Sunday School teachers...

9. Amen....
time for pussy footing and tap dancing are over. As the Dixie Chicks said "I'm not ready to make nice." We have the high ground and we need to start fighting from their.

When GOP says we have prevented terrorist attack, remind them 9-11 happened on their watch. If they say well they attacked during Clinton just say that Clinton didn't get a memo, Bush did!

And the economy-Bush doesn't have a prayer. That is a freebie. A lot of folks know that the gas prices will hit the roof after November. People are starting to finally believe us-we just have to come out strong and speak the truth and smack 'em down hard when they start that crap the do.

Make this election about Bush and keep redirecting and pounding away. We don't have a plan, well the GOP didn't have a plan until this year in Iraq. Hell they didn't even have a plan to get our troops the amour or the armored vehicles they needed. They don't have a plan for the gulf coast and any city that has a natural disaster can expect the 'Katrina treatment' from Homeland Security and FEMA. Hell we can't even get a plan for more soldiers in Iraq or get the ones in there out. Any plan we can come up with is better than what they have been passing off as a plan.

17. Sure..
that's how they will swift boat him but if he talks about who he defended I think folks will listen to him. Don't think that will fly the second time around. They also rub it in about his looks. But geesh, the guy has been married forever to the same woman and as far as I can tell has always kept his pants zipped. Certainly an improvement over chucklenuts and definantly an improvement over Darth Cheney.

11. I like Edwards because he remembers where he came from.
Living from pay check to paycheck is an abstraction for most of these folks; Edwards grew up in that situation.

15. He has already been selected by the "DECIDERS"
I published several pieces claiming that Edwards will be the next president. I published the first one prior to the last election.

Edwards has charmed and been accepted the Bilderberg group. If you do not know who they are start googling them. They along with the entities they represent (especially the central banks) decide who acts as our president. Edwards is in with them. I have been saying it for some time and my predictions are starting to take form.

If he wins you should be scared because it indicates that people outside of the electorate make these decisions.

Peace,
Jesse - Editor, TvNewsLIES.org

the Bilderburg Group. Interesting to say the least.

20. I like Edwards, not as radical as I'd like but, one of our best options.
I'd like to see Edwards/Kucinich. Dennis is too smart a man not to be in the white house, but hes also too good to be president.
