Intelligence director says interrogation program will continue

DENVER (AP) - National Intelligence Director John Negroponte says the CIA will continue its detention and interrogation tactics.

Negroponte was in Denver Thursday night to deliver a speech at the Marine Intelligence Association's annual convention.

His remarks come after President Bush earlier this week acknowledged for the first time the CIA had secret prisons overseas and defended the practice of tough interrogations.

Negroponte says the CIA's ability to interrogate suspected terrorists is key to keeping Americans safe and that its methods comply with US law and international treaties.

2. OK, if CIA's "methods comply with US law and international treaties"...
... why can't the prisoners be kept in the US? What's the point of keeping them in secret prisons in former and current authoritarian states?

3. John "Death Squads" Negroponte
Yeah, I'd believe his word that everything is legal and above board. But only if his word was delivered after a close encounter with the business end of a cattle prod.

May one one-hundredth of the death and misery this man has visited upon the world come back on him.

4. THe US doesn't even belong to the ICC (International Criminal Court)
.
.
.

Clinton had signed on way back, but didn't ratify the agreement -

And Bush sure ain't gonna put his criminal ass in a sling.

Bush attacked Iraq, a country that was defenseless and at war with no-one, and despite lack of approval from the United Nations, and strong objections from their neighbors, Canada and Mexico,

Bush just said "fuck you" I'm going in - and there you are - -

The most hated and feared nation in the World -

Hated being the stronger one.

Fear fades

Hate grows
