Al-Jazeera on Thursday broadcast what it called a previously unshown video in which al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden is seen meeting with some of the Sept. 11 hijackers.

The speaker on the tape, identified as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, says he is confident victory will be achieved.

Mujahir is said to have taken over al-Qaeda in Iraq after the killing of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in June.

What I want to know is why we haven't destroyed this source of these videos, al-Qaeda's "as-Sahab Institute for Media Production," which looks to me, a professional video editor, like very professional video productions, which are of the quality of a large video production facility with large, expensive machines. This does NOT look like, to me, something that can be done on a lap-top computer.

And why are we paying a U.S. Government contractor to produce and sell these videos on DVD for $39.99 each?

Ok...they're showing it now, they're saying that two of the hihjackers are seen on the tape

OBL and the gang planning 911. I haven't seen it myself yet.

But could it be that the MIHOPERS are gaining so much ground someone felt they had to release this footage? The 5 year anniversary is proably just long enough to allow some serious public reflection and it is pretty clear than many questions still have to be answered. Perhaps there were a few opinion pieces due to raise the issue... until this video was released of course, satisifying all our curiosity.

20. Bin Laden 9/11 planning video aired

Just days before the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, a videotape of previously unaired footage of Osama bin Laden and two of the hijackers surfaced Thursday.

The videotape, believed to be shot in Afghanistan in the weeks before the attack, was shown on the Arab television channel Al-Jazeera.

It includes scenes of men handling weapons and box cutters, and training to overpower others physically.

In one scene, bin Laden addresses the camera, calling on followers to support the hijackers.
